Welcome to Yin Yoga Neck & Shoulder Series. Neck & shoulder pain is very common and can make getting through the day without wincing very challenging.
It may make general tasks which you need your arms out in front of you like typing on a computer, lifting, cooking or driving, quite painful.
Neck and shoulder pain commonly stems from the tendency to slump the spine and round the shoulders. In todays technology driven world, many of us spend our days hunched over a computer desk, driving a car and looking at our phones.
Other contributors to neck and shoulder pain include; stress, sleeping funny, sitting too long, poor posture, vigorous exercise and repetitive tasks.
If left unmanaged, neck and shoulder pain can intensify which can lead to skipping work, take pain medication or even worse stay confined to bed.
Yin yoga stretches help to correct the body’s alignment and ease unnecessary soreness and tension from the neck and shoulders reducing inflammation and increasing movement.
WHAT IS YIN YOGA:
Yin Yoga is a slow floor based yoga practice that helps to release deep held tension in the body and mind. The long held poses, breath work and meditation help you to relax into each pose reducing stress. relieving tired sore bodies and promoting

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Yin Yoga Neck & Shoulder Series is a 4-week workshop meeting once weekly for a 90-minute class.
Each week you will be guided through a Yin Yoga sequence that has been carefully designed to alleviate symptoms of neck & shoulder pain and help treat the stress that accompanies it.

Whether you have never practiced yoga before or are a seasoned yogi this weekly workshop can help you with neck and shoulder pain.

Pricing is the total for all 4 classes in the workshop total.
WHAT TO BRING:
*Wear something comfortable and easy to move in
*Bring a light throw, blanket or towel to cover the bolster
*Bring a bottle of water
*If you have any existing health conditions or injuries, please consult with your GP/ physiotherapist and get medical approval before partaking this class.
*Lastly bring an open mind, an open heart & a smile
Do I need to bring a mat or props?
All mats and props are provided although if you wish to bring your own you are most welcome to. Please bring a towel to cover bolsters.
Is this class suitable for beginners?
This is a great class for beginners.
